CARA REUNION 2009 

“35^TH ANNIVERSAIRY OF CYPRUS”
July 17, 18 & 19, 2009

 

The members of the Airborne Regiment Association of Canada (ARAC) are hard at work to make this event an unforgettable and enjoyable reunion. The dates have been chosen to commemorate THE ACTIONS OF THE Airborne Regt in Cyprus in 1974. Early details of the program are as follows:

 Accommodations & rates per night:  $109.00 for a standard room.  Taxes are additional.

-         Meet & Greet -  join the Airborne family in the Penthouse – 26th floor 

-      The Kit shop will be available in the registration room starting at 1400 hrs.  There will also be a display of airborne memorabilia donated for the event.

-         Sat 18 July 2009 

-         Breakfast - at your own expense 

-         Registration desk will be open – 0900 hrs

-         Lunch – at your own expense 

-         13.30 hrs   Canadian War Museum 

-         Memorial Service to the memory of Paras Berger and Perron 

-         14.00 hrs Cyprus conflict presentation in Barney Danson theatre 

-          After visit to the special display of UN in Cyprus and the museum itself.

-         Sat 18 July 2009  -  Evening  

-         18.30 hrs  Cocktails 

-         19.30 hrs  Dinner 

-         Guest Speaker – MGen (Ret’d) Guy Lessard,  CMM, MB, CD 

          – Former Comdr in Cyprus in 74 

           -     19 July  Sunday  2009 

-         09.00 hrs  Breakfast  -  Penthouse – 26th floor, at your own expense 

Farewells & Good byes 

DRESS: 

The dress is casual throughout the reunion except at dinner on Saturday.  Saturday night dress should be:  association blazer, business suit and miniature medals.
